Following a previous refit in Australia in 2000 DIABLESSE has cruised South East Asia, then north to Japan and on to Russia, next, across the Bering Strait to the Alaskan coast, through Panama to Cuba and finally back to the Med.

In 2016 DIABLESSE was purchased by her present owner, who conducted a total rebuild at a leading Italian yard. This included, full paint job, interior refit, wiring and plumbing, engine rebuild, new generator / air conditioning / refrigeration / watermaker / hydraulics / Reckmann furler / safety equipment / instrumentation / entertainment / communication / batteries / chargers. Mast overhauled and repainted / new dyeform standing rigging / kevlar backstay / rod forestay / new carbon boom / all winches and hydraulics serviced. The hull has been ultra sounded showing the same thickness as the build.

Following her last refit DIABLESSE did her maiden voyage to Malta where she was registered and VAT was paid. She is a private yacht with a registered length under 24 meters (23.95m) which means great simplicity with regulations and operations. She can be very easily converted to commercial use.

DIABLESSE is built and insulated to be comfortable at any latitude from Antarctica to Polynesia. Her reduced draft of only 2.7m means great freedom. Often referred to as the Ferrari 250 GTO of sailing yachts, she was the largest sloop ever built in 1985 (38.4m mast) from the genius pencil of Martin Francis, creator of MY Enigma, MY Senses, MY A. With three full circumnavigations at all latitudes, DIABLESSE is a performance world cruiser with very simple systems and 100% redundancy for maximum reliability.

Easy access to the water through the reverse transom built-in steps. Large guest cockpit. Good proportions between guests and crew accommodation for extended cruising. The Captain’s cabin was built as the 4th guest cabin and can still be used as such because the crew cabin sleeps 4. The commissioning Owner was American hence the big galley adjacent to main saloon, a very unusual feature for a yacht of that era but extremely modern by today’s standard. The 4.3 meter centre-console tender is stored on deck and easy to launch. With an aluminium hull it is great for comfort, water toys and explorations. When she was launched DIABLESSE was crewed by the best sailors in the world and won all the most prestigious regattas. As a testimony to her great racing history during the Rolex Cup 2017 in Sardinia the biggest names in sailing stopped by to pay homage to the legend.
